ABOUT THE VOCALIST
Carl Ashley has performed in opera choruses
and in comprimario roles with the
Palm Beach Opera, the
Florida Arts Celebration, the
Spoleto Festival of
Two Worlds in the United States and Italy,
and
the University of Miami Opera Theatre. He has won a number
of awards as a vocal soloist and has appeared as a soloist and
choral singer on several commercial recordings, including on the
Phillips, SoundByte, and Cane Records labels.
As a choral singer, Dr. Ashley has performed under the batons of Robert Spano, Joseph Flummerfelt, Riccardo Muti, Jo-Michael Scheibe, Kurt Masur, Bruno Aprea, Anton Guadagno, and others.
He is also an accomplished popular, Broadway, and jazz performer.
His principal voice teachers were Ronald Burrichter, Marvin Keenze, and Jana Young.
